Event Description: To bring awareness to our students on the importance of health and safety we are having a one day safety display/contest in 6 area high schools. We will display safety posters and have 3 questions on safety the students will need to answer. (The posters contain the answers to the questions.) Door prizes are being offered each day, and a grand prize of $1000 will be given to the school with the greatest percentage of student participation.

Event Description: Theme: START TODAY, LIVE IT EVERYDAY. AT HOME,WORK AND PLAY.
Mini Tradeshow and Speakers' Conference
The event will include a day of safety presentations with guest speakers Tim Vanderbrink on Fire Safety at Home and at work, Shawn McNaughton will provide a victim Impact Statement.
A presentation by Occupational Health and Safety on Regional Safety
A presentation by WorkSafe BC
Activities, and a demonstration by the Alberta Transportation on the new Highway Thermal Imaging device.
The seminar will also include a mini Safety Trade show, with multiple tables of Safety PPE, and Non-Profit Safety organizations, and Safety Training facilities.

The event also includes a BBQ Luncheon at the new Grande Prairie Exhibiton building the TECH Center.

CAT Rental Store - Making Safety Stick - May 5 - 9

Event Description: We are launching a week of activities at each branch. Branches choose several events from our program list. They participate in the activities or safety tasks for their location. Each branch will compete and earn points towards the interbranch scoring. Top points will be awarded a wall banner to proudly display for the next year and the title of best participation for the Health and Safety Week award.

There are 31 branches pledged to participate in one or more events, including BBQ, Guest Speakers, Hazard Assessment Hunt, and manual Trivia quest, Safety Awareness center enhancement, Walking for success (health challenge), MSDS challenge quest, Daily toolbox 100% participation, etc.
The branches each have equal ability to score points, Largest % of staff who participate and the quality of the documentation will be used to judge close contenders.
